Mrs. Ethel Faye Alice Reeves

Ethel Faye Alice Reeves, 61 Jackson, Tennessee departed this earthly life on October 14, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born April 26, 1963. Ethel was the 8th child of the late Thomas J. Smith and Rosie L. Smith of Alamo, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas L. Smith, Thomas J. Smith, Jr., Vera Mae Davis, Carolyn Avery Hudson, Gloria Jean Epperson, and Tonya Turner. Sister-in-laws; Queen Reeves and Mammie Armour. She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at a very young age. She graduated from Crockett County Alamo High School in Alamo, Tennessee. After graduation, she set out to accomplish her career and family goals. She married Sam Edward Reeves, Jr. in 1997, who was the love of her life. Ethel was a beacon of life, love, and hope. Everyone whom she came in contact with felt her love. She had a smile of gold and would give anyone her last regardless of the situation. She was full of faith and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She retired in 2023, after working for JMCSS for over twenty years. She loved working with children and caring for them as her own. Ethel had a gift and passion for cooking, this was her love language. She loved her family and was anointed and an excellent woman of God, a magnificent wife, and mother to her children. She was truly a Proverb 31 woman. Ethel leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband, Sam Edward Reeves, Jr. of Jackson, Tennessee; three children, Tosha Shanette (Markeith) Barnes, Tampa, FL, Hillary (Ashley) Jetton, Jr., and Timothy Joshua Jetton, both of Jackson, Tennessee; two beloved step children, Shanice Reeves, Paducah, Kentucky and Reeves, Jackson, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, which were her joy, Jeremiah Jetton, Marquell Jetton, Isaiah Jetton, Jacquan Jetton, Jamieson Jetton, Jasper Jetton, and Ashton Jetton; nine step grandchildren, Zaire Barnes, Cynthia James, Samera Cleveland, Sha’vaeh Cleveland, Dia’vonte Cleveland, Jr., Gianna Pirtle and Ga’Laya Pirtle; siblings, Theresa Reams, Bruce (Nadine) Smith, Shirley Smith, Ilandis (Jinette) Smith, Gary (Patricia) Smith, Karen Smith and Stephanie Cooper; beloved in-laws, Mary Brown, Evelyn (George) Polk, Rose Reeves, Theresa Turner, Janice Hampton and Alonza Reeves; a devoted friend, Elizabeth Womack, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will always be loved cherished by everyone that knew her and encountered her beautiful smile and spirit. She was truly a gift from God that will always be treasured and remembered
