Ms. Annie Bell Winston

Annie Bell Avery Winston, affectionately known as (Ann), 76 of Alamo TN, peacefully passed away on March 18, 2025, at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital surrounded by loved ones. After a long battle with health issues, she left behind the pains and trials of this world and found sweet rest in the arms of Jesus. She was born on September 17, 1948 to James Avery and Mary Marshall in Crockett Co. TN. She was raised by loving grandparents, Lee & Mary Treadway Harrell and was educated in the Crockett Co. School system. Ann being an only child was spoiled by her Grandparents, Mother and Aunt Renner. She met the love of her life, Jerry Winston and they were married on March 22, 1967. They shared a happy life together until his death in 1988. To this union four children were born, Tracey, Patricia, Rodney, and Tonya. Ann, Jerry and the children relocated to Indianapolis IN and spent several years there before moving back to TN. Ann was employed by the Bells Nursing home for 28+ years before retiring.She joined the Jerusalem M. B. Church and always talked about the closeness of her Church Family. Those closest to Ann remember her as a quiet soul, who loved to bring happiness to all with her big heart and joyous spirit. Ann was a loving Mother and Grandmother. She had no problem letting others know the love she had for her family. She loved spending time with her grands and they enjoyed her cooking for them on weekends and holidays. She decorated her home with passion, and loved her cats. She spent many hours visiting cousins that she grew up with, Emma, Lucille, Shirley, Betty, Martha Ann, Kate, and James L. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Grandparents, Husband, Aunt and two of her children, Patricia Winston and Rodney Winston, as well as several other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She leaves to celebrate her life, two daughters: Tracey Winston and Tonya Winston, (Alamo, TN). Grandchildren: Adonis Winston,(Jackson, TN), Seenario Simone ”CC” Turner, (Jackson, TN), Storm Jurnett, (Maury City, TN), Tre’ Winston, (Alamo, TN) Betricie Winston, (Humboldt, TN), Rodney Winston, (Hinesville, GA), Roderick Winston, (Hinesville, GA) and Brent (Kaishus) McFadden, (Jackson, TN), Great-Grandchildren: Tahiry, Jordyn, MaKiyah, Emonee, KaLiyah, Dzhkar, Kamaree, Kairo, Solomon, and Azariah.She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Joyce Winston (James) Pirtle, (Brownsville, TN) along with other relatives and friends.
