Mr. Robert Lewis Seats

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. “Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 KJV God in His infinite wisdom called from his earthly life to his heavenly home His servant Robert Lewis Seats, age 55, Sunday, January 24, 2021; called home to rest forevermore. His season had come; his time of release had arrived. During his adolescence, his musical talents were nurtured and developed, and he became a much sought-after vocalist, pianist, and organist with a wide repertoire for church and special occasion performances throughout several Tennessee counties. Robert was a member and served as the musician of the Mt. Tabor Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Tennessee, and he served other churches where he musically ministered over the years. Seats Chapel Holiness Church was the family’s home church, where he grew into adulthood. Robert Lewis Seats, the only son born to Deacon Lue Wilbert and Mrs. Elizabeth White Seats of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, a Christian couple who instilled in their children, strong Christian principles and values and a strong sense of pride, dignity, and perseverance. He is predeceased by his father, Deacon Lue Wilbert Seats, mother, Mrs. Elizabeth White Seats, and sisters; Mrs. Juanita Inez Seats Chunn, Omega Seats (infant), and nephew, Mr. James Victor Smith. Left to cherish his earthly sojourn are his siblings, Dr. Doris S. Barlow, (Ret. Col. Dr. Joe E. Barlow) Hendersonville, TN, Mrs. Ora L. Seats Easley, A.M.E. Church International Officer (The Reverend Dr. William W. Easley, Jr., Presiding Elder Retired) Nashville, TN; significant friend, Mr. LaSalle Gauldin, Cedar Grove, TN; niece; Mrs. Cynthia Renee Chunn Johnson (John Johnson), Madison, TN; nephew, Mr. William W. Easley, III, (Mrs. Sonja Elaine Tyler), Upper Marlboro, MD; paternal aunt, Mrs. Bertha Seats, Benton Harbor, MI and a host of cousins and friends. “I'm free. Praise the Lord, I'm free. No longer bound. No more chains holding me. My soul is resting. It's just a blessing. Praise the Lord, hallelujah, I'm free.”
