Robert Cole was born on April 12, 1948 in Jackson, Tennessee, the oldest child of the late Christine Glenn Cole and Lugene Cole. He departed this life on December 25, 2016. Robert accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the Jackson- Madison County School System and was a 1967 graduate of Merry High School. He was no stranger to the city of Jackson, Tennessee. He was a member of the Elk Lodge #454 and was known by many as “Cole Train”, “Bob Daddy” and many more. He was known as the friendliest and most caring person, who rode around town, no matter how hot it was, with his windows down. He was employed at Kelly Food for 28 years until his retirement. On December 27, 1989, Robert met and was united in holy matrimony to Patricia Perry, whom he called his sweetie. He was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Dorothy Jean Cole; two brothers, Montell Parham and Johnny Mack Yarbrough; one son, Eric Bernard Cole; one son in law, Gregory Bendale Emerson, Sr.; one brother in law, Dr. J.L. Perry and a goddaughter, Mildred Brady. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Patricia Ann Cole; father, Lugene Cole; six daughters, Earnestine (Gregory) Emerson, Barbara Jean Harrison, Brenda Cole-Sheffield, Kenya (Brian) Winston, Sharon Smith all of Jackson, TN and Lawanda Williams of Georgia; three sons, Charles (Demetra) Harrison, Robert (Sabrina) Harrison, Sr, and A.C.(Sarita) Harrison, Sr.; six sisters, Flora (LD) Beard, Shelly Clark, Betty Jo Cole and Barbara Moore all of Jackson, TN, Brenda Cole of Indiana and Blondell Cole of Arizona; five brothers, A.C. (Gloria) Cole, Milton (Trish) Cole, Gene Kennedy, Allen Parham all of Jackson, TN and Arlest Broyles of Michigan; mother in law, Lurline Perry; two sisters in law, Lula Halley of Memphis, TN and Janis Perry of Jackson, TN; very special uncle, Jimmy Glenn of Illinois; special friend, Dennis Carter of Jackson, TN and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
