Mrs. Penny Jean Hunt Reid

July 15, 1942 - November 10, 2021

Mrs. Penny Jean “PG” Hunt Reid, was born on July 15, 1942 in Hardeman County, Tennessee to the late Author Hunt and Lizzie Hunt. God called her home on November 10, 2021, at the age of 79. She confessed her life in Christ at an early age where she became a member of the Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church in Huntersville, Tennessee. She was very good person, and everybody loved her. It wasn’t a time you could go around her and she didn’t make you laugh. The love she had for her grandchildren was wonderful. She loved watching wrestling, games shows, cowboy movies, listening to Gospel and Blues music. But most of all she loved playing spades with whomever she taught she could beat. She was preceded in death by husband: Lee Andrew Reid; two children: Terry Hunt and Betty Hunt; one grandson: Oree Hunt; two brothers: Robert Norman “Jobo” Hunt and Arthur William “Jim” Hunt and mother-in-law: Cleora Reid. She leaves to cherish her memory her seven children: Robert Hunt, Charlie (Nicole) Reid, James (Virginia) Reid, Ora (Reginald) Ellison, Walter (Diane) Reid, Grady Reid and Dorothy Reid; two brothers: Grady T. (Edna) Hunt of Fayetteville, N.C., and Larry D. (Nallie) of Clarksville, Tennessee; two sisters: Lizzie M. Avery and Authorine Reid both of Jackson, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren: Tony, Taasha, Latasha, Angela, Lashonda, David, Linda, Keenon, Cordarius, Amir, Ebony, Dawann, Rodreques, Zion, Charles, Mario and Raina. She had two special friends: Martha Cole and her caretaker: Jean Agnes and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
