Dr. Melody Mitchell Webb, PharmD.

December 28, 1968 - March 30, 2022

Dr. Melody Mitchell-Webb was born on December 28, 1968, in Akron, Ohio to the late Elder Robert Mitchell and Effie Jean Simmons-Mitchell. Melody accepted Christ at an early age at Hope Church of God In Christ where her father was the pastor. Melody served faithfully until her transition to Jackson, Tennessee to attend school. Melody graduated with distinguish honors from Central Howard High School in 1987. She was accepted to Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee with a 4-year full scholarship to the Biology Program where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1992. She continued to further her studies and attended the University of Tennessee of Memphis for which she earned and received her Doctorate in Pharmacy in 1999. Melody has received numerous awards and received high honors during her tenure in college. Her picture adorns the “Wall of Fame” for those to remember her dedication and accomplishments after her graduation. Melody was a proud member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. After finishing college, Dr. Melody Mitchell-Webb began her career as a pharmacist until her health declined. Melody loved her family and friends but most importantly God. She was there for anyone who needed her no matter what time or day it was. Melody leaves behind to forever cherish her memories, daughters: Kiera Webb, Kyia Webb, and their father: Jimmie Webb of Memphis, Tennessee and Survirn J. Webb (Grandmother); siblings: Elder Robert E. Mitchell Jr. (Pinky) of Austintown, OH, Rocelyn Mitchell-Spear of Jackson, Tennessee, and Melvin “David” Mitchell of Akron, Ohio; nieces: Royce Mitchell, Sherie Mitchell-Spear, K.D. Warren, nephews; Darrell “Jokey” Spear, Robert “Tre” Mitchell III; great-nephews: Kayson Mitchell-Spear, Kreisler Mitchell, and Destin Carter; aunts: Delores Stewart (James), Elmira Mitchell, Virginia Wade, Annie Wyatt; uncles: John W.”Sonny” Simmons, James R. “Flea” (Agnes) Simmons, Charles Gray, and James Dickerson (Countess); special gratitude to cousins: Yvette Givens (Eric), James “Rooster” Dickerson ( Rita), Gloria Rodgers (Charles), Gaynell Stiff, Sherrill Thomas, Brenda Simmons Searcy (Kenneth) and Beverly “Bunch” Shaw; godmother: Bernadine “Linda” Sims. god-siblings: Nickelle Sims, and Lauren Simmons and her best friend of 34 years: Lori Richmond-Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
