Ms. Marion Jeanette Holmes Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Saturday, September 3, 2016 God called his servant Marion Janette Blakemore-Holmes to be at rest and in perfect peace. Janette was born June 4, 1946 to the late Marion Herbert and Lois Josephine Whitelaw Blakemore. Janette attended and graduated from Rosenwald High School in 1964. She also attended Lane College and was employed with the Bendix Automotive until her health failed. Janette accepted Christ as her personal savior and united with the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member for over fifty years. Janette was preceded in death by three children, Tammy Blakemore, Sontus Holmes and Faberge Holmes. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Lawrence Blakemore of Tampa, Florida, and Herman Holmes of Murfreesboro, TN; two daughters, Sherree Blakemore of Murfreesboro, TN and Sharron Blakemore of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren she raised from birth, Sadarius and Trelon Blakemore of Jackson, TN and Demarcus Blakemore of Murfreesboro, TN; eight sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Ann (Floyd) Beard, Barbara Owens and Kay Lofton all of Jackson, TN; Wanda (Louis) Beard of Wichita, Kansas, Lottie (Sandy) Brady and Connie (Norris) Harris of Nashville, TN and Donna McClendon of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Richard and Odie Blakemore of Jackson, TN; one sister in law, Mary Blakemore of Jackson, TN, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
