April 12, 1954 - November 13, 2020
Maggie Jean Bowers Neal, 66, returned to her heavenly home on Friday, November 13, 2020. She was devoted to her family and a firm believer in Christ. Maggie was born to the late William T. and Rebecca Bowers, in Somerville, TN on April 12, 1954. She was one of six children with three preceding her in death; Lenora Bowers, William Bowers, Jr. and Ada Quarles. At an early age she professed hope in Christ at New St. Luke M.B. Church, Jackson, TN, under the leadership of Rev. D.E. Blalock until her passing. She attended Jackson Central Merry High in 1971. Maggie Jean retired from Jackson General Hospital after serving 12 years in environmental services. Maggie Jean will always be remembered as the out-spoken, loud, full of life, fun and a loving individual with a special sense of humor. She knew how to speak the truth to anyone she encountered, and people respected her for it; children loved to be around her. She will be remembered for being a sharp dresser, hair and nails always done, a very well put together individual with an unforgettable impression that will last a lifetime on each one of us. Maggie was blessed with a loving family. She married Harold Neal of Jackson, TN, where they shared 40 years together. Maggie leave to cherish her memory, one daughter, Rozena (Samantha) Neal, great niece, Malia Bradford, god-daughter Keniya Cole, three grand puppies, two sisters, Patsy (Arvell) Winningham, and Patricia (Willie Ray) Williams all of Jackson, TN, two aunties Maggie Merriweather of Cleveland, OH, and Oliva Wilson, one uncle Robert Wilson, and one brother in-law Robert Quarels all of Jackson, TN. And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special friends: Mrs. Tracy Davis & Mrs. Opal
