Ms. Loisteen Wanda Smith Delk Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Loisteen Wanda Smith Delk was born May 5, 1949, in Lexington, TN to her parents, the late Nathaniel and Martha Smith. She was the eighth child born in the family. She was raised in a loving home with three brothers and seven sisters. Loisteen transitioned to her heavenly home on December 10, 2020. Our Mom, granny, sister, and aunt will be truly missed She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1967. She began working in the manufacturing industry after graduating from high school. She worked her last years in Lexington at Swan Hose before relocating to Aurora, Colorado. In Aurora, she worked over twenty years as a caregiver. She accepted Christ at an early age where she became a member of Keys Chapel United Methodist Church, and in Aurora she became a devoted member of Heritage Christian Center where she served as a greeter. Lois loved the Lord, her family, and had a passion for interior design and fashion. In 1967, she married the late Harry Arnold and to the union two daughters were born. In 1975, she married Tony Delk, Sr. and to this union three children were born. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Walter R. Smith and William Patrick Smith, two sisters: Kathleen Swift and Essie Moffitt. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, two brothers: Ralph Smith of North Carolina, and Raymond (Kathy) Smith of Aurora, CO., six sisters: Zelma Yancy of California, Rosetta (Mack) Craig of Linden, TN., Josephine Harmon of Lexington, TN., Vivian Hart of Wildersville, TN., Gail (Charles) Hopewell and Alice (Terry) Butler of Lexington, TN. Five children: Kim (Neal) Bumpass, Emily (Devon) Johnson, and Christa Delk Potts (Curtis Cropper) of Jackson, TN., Tony Delk Jr. of Aurora, CO, and Melissa (Johnathan) Bratcher of Raeford, NC. Seventeen grandchildren: Alisha Wilder, Jessica Evans, Jasmine Buck, Erica (Kendrick) Coleman, Octavious Delk, Chyna Bratcher, Damian Johnson, Xavier Delk, Zachary Bumpass, Tyree Buckley, Tony Delk III, Tahlaia Delk, Chaniya Bratcher, Takye Delk, Trystan Delk, Chyloh Bratcher, and Joel Bratcher. Ten great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Ariana, Anayah, Braelyn, Jaeden, Kendall, Kameryn, Lyiah, CJ, and Kealyn. Three special friends: James Walker, Diane Johnson Haymer, and Jodi Rochford. She also leaves her memories with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
