Ms. Jackline E. Garrett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jackline Elaine Garrett was born January 28, 1971 to the late Johnnie Mitchell and Berdie Lou Smith. She departed this life on March 10, 2022, after a short illness. She graduated from Jackson-Central Merry High School in 1989 and was employed with the Jackson Madison County School System. She worked at Jackson Careers and Technology Elementary School as an Educational Assistant and Behavior Support Specialist. She was also a member of The Tabernacle of David, The House of Israel and sang with the Missionaries briefly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Mitchell and Berdie Lou Smith, her brother David Dewayne Williams and grandmother, Fredonia Jones. She had a beautiful smile and was a fun and loving person that loved to spend time with family. She absolutely enjoyed family functions and was known for her famous burritos. She was a listening ear for her family and was always available for them. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children BriAsia Overton and Jacorey Garrett. Sisters: Doritha Smith, Jannie Wilder (Howard), Ruby Smith, Sharon Smith, and Emma Billings, her twin brother Johnnie Garrett (Kenyatta) and two nephews that she shared a brotherly bond with, Marcus Smith (Cynthia) and Stanley Smith (Tiffany) and two nieces that she shared a sisterly bound with, Kenya Hill (Gnabu), and Shanika Jenkins (Jonathan). She also leaves to cherish her memory, her aunts: Ruby Rose and Sylvia Jones; a special friend: Shelia Bass and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who genuinely loved her and will miss her.
