The journey began for Frances Jean Johnson-Williams on August 21, 1951 in Jackson, Tennessee. She was the 8th child born to the late Arthur Johnson Sr. and the late Essie Mae Thornton-Johnson. Frances received her education at the former Pleasant Plains Elementary School, former East High School, and graduated in 1970 from North Side High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life, the late Robert David Williams and was married for 42 years. To this union, three beautiful children were born. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age at the Pleasant Plains Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Senior Choir, Mothers Board, Pastors Aide Committee, and the Pastoral Staff until her death. Frances was employed at Emerson Electric for over 25 years and later was employed at Mueller & Ellis Law Firm for 10 years. On Sunday, February 10, 2019, God in His infinite wisdom and divine mercy, called His servant and our loved one, Frances Williams, home to be with Him in all His glory. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Essie Johnson; a son, Michael Williams; five sisters, Mary Vann, Mary Elizabeth Johnson, Alberta Martin, Katherine Smith, and Mae Helen Johnson; two brothers, Arthur Lee Johnson Jr. and Johnny Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Hosie Vann and Roy Chester Williams. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will truly be missed. She leaves to cherish her memories; son, Jeffery (Shanzette) Williams, daughter, Tonya (Levi Jr.) Triplett of Jackson, TN; five grandchildren, Kierra Dasun Williams, Xavier Taylor, Dasia Williams, MyKia Williams, and Felicia Burkley; one great grandson, Bradley Long; two brothers, James (Mattie) Johnson, and Jessie Johnson both of Jackson,TN.; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Johnson and Geraldine Williams both of Jackson,TN.; three brothers-in-law, A.D. Martin Jr. and Earnest ( Gladys) Williams of Humboldt, TN., Alvin Smith of Jackson, TN. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
