Mr. Clyde L. Davis

Clyde Leonard Davis was born on January 22, 1938 in Chester County, Tennessee where he was born to the late C.L. Davis and Vassie Ann Trice Davis. On Tuesday, September 3, 2019. God saw fit to call to his place of rest. He was brought up in Beech Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Vincent High School and later enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as a Fireman and a Chef. He then studied the trades of Cement Masonry and Blueprint Reader. Shortly after obtaining his certification as a Construction Journey. He was selected as a Construction Foreman where he worked on the Chicago Skyline building Skyscrapers including projects like the Sears Tower and among others. He later became a General Contractor in Henderson, Tennessee and a Bus Driver for the Chester County School System. He was a long term Mason. His favortie Hobbies included fishing, cooking, gardening, small scale farming, picking pecans and spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Vassie and C.L. Davis; brother: Thomas C. Davis; sister: Marilyn Ann Davis. He leaves to cherish his memoy five children: Ricky (Kim) Anderson , Clyde Davis, Jr., Todd (Patty) Davis, Lawnya Davis, Dionne (Andrea) Davis; two step-children: Yolanda “Pinkey” McSwine and Dawnielle Rankins; brothers: George (Irma) Davis and Harry (Sheila) Davis; sisters: Maureen Davis, Annie (Grady) Carter, Peggy (Talmadge) Surratt; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
