Pastor Vennie Anthony Reeves

Pastor Vennie Anthony Reeves was born on May 1,1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Cora Reeves and the late Jimmy Reeves. He peacefully departed this earthly life on February 18, 2026. At a young age, Vennie relocated to Henderson, Tennessee, with his mother and family. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1976 and briefly attended Jackson State Community College. He went on to build a career in logistics and industrial maintenance before becoming a successful business owner. For more than 25 years, he owned and operated Vennie’s Auto Detail, faithfully serving the community until the business closed in 2021. Never one to sit still and always willing to work with his hands, he later served as a custodial worker with the Chester County School District until 2025. Affectionately known as Pastor Vennie, he accepted Christ at an early age and later answered the call to ministry. He served as Pastor of First Christian Liberty Church, where his love for Christ, his passion for people, and his commitment to salvation set him apart. He never met a stranger and was always ready to encourage others to try Jesus. He was truly a pastor to all. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, loyal friend, and devoted Christian. Though known as the family comedian, one of his greatest joys was simply being called Pops or Pawpaw. In 1980, he met his main girl and best friend, Dianne (affectionately known as D or Diary Ann). They were united in marriage on October 10, 1988, and he remained faithfully by her side until his final breath. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora Reeves, Jimmy Reeves, and his stepfather Jack Stanley. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted wife, Dianne W. Reeves; two daughters, Portia Mickens and Antonique Reeves; one son, Marquis Mickens; three grandchildren, Marketa McKinney, Amaya Mickens, and Parker Reeves; three great-grandchildren, Quen’Marion (Ju) Collier, Nova Collier, and Adrian Wyatt Park; two aunts, Arnell Butler (the late Arthur Butler) and Doris Johnson; his mother-in-love, Mary M. Williams (the late Earlie B. Williams); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family members, and dear friends
