Ms. Rose Coleman Isabell

Rose was born on February 22, 1950 in Gibson County to the late Mary Arn King Coleman-Patrick and John Earl Coleman. She was reared in Gibson County by her mother and grandparents Sallie and Dupree Clements. She attended grammar school at Antioch Elementary-Gadsden, TN., Stegall Elementary-Humboldt, TN. and St. John Elementary-Jackson, TN. She graduated from Central High School in Alamo, TN in 1968. She attended Lane College. She was the oldest of eight siblings Cecelia Patrick, Andrea King, Lori Jackson, and Kim Dancer, with Charlotte Barnett, Clarell McFayden, Norma Collier and Calvin Rewan preceding her in death. Rose joined Hosley Chapel CME Church of Gadsden TN, at an early age, where she remained a member until she married (Curtis Isabell) and moved to Jackson, TN. To that union they had four children Yolanda M. Jones, Falecia L. Goolsby (Tyrone), Kawana C. Isabell, John C. Isabell. Moving to Jackson she and her children joined Macedonia MB Church in 1985 where she remained until her death. She had seven grandchildren Dante Leake, Ty'Kiera Goolsby, and Ty'Riq of Augusta GA, Sequan Jones, Aleigha Jones, Kiyona Reid, Ty'Reese Transou and JayCee Isabell of Jackson, TN., and two Great Grandchildren Kaizen Jones and Ivy Prince of Jackson, TN. She was a member of the Senior Ushers of Macedonia. Rose was the recording secretary for The CITY-WIDE USHERS for a number of years. Rose was an outgoing person. She liked to play ball (she played basketball for Central High School from her freshman to senior year). She played ball with South Central Bell early on. Rose loved to travel, cook, sew and play bingo. Her passion was her grandchildren; she talked about them constantly, and loved to travel. Rose worked for South Central Bell later ATT for 45 years. Rose was a member of the "ELKS" since 1989. In W. R. BELL TEMPLE # 1249 as a recording secretary and financial secretary. The PAST DAUGHTER RULERS COUNCIL, as a recording secretary and financial secretary and daughter ruler. She was Commander of the Sam Cunningham Marching Unit # 454 for one term, Assistant Company Clerk, Training Officer, and Area Commander. For the TENNESSEE BRIGADE she was assistant Recorder and later the Recorder and Area Commander. Rose leaves a vast number of family members, a host of friends, and two special brothers in law, Henry Barnett and Pete McFayden.
