Mr. Naim H. Madyun

Naim H. Madyun, age 65, of Humboldt, Tennessee, departed this life on August 15, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Tariq Madyun and Rasheedah Madyun. He spent many of his formative years in California (Sacramento & San Francisco) and Iowa (Des Moines & Cedar Rapids) before making Humboldt, Tennessee, his home for nearly 20 years. He was a natural leader with a strong presence, a great sense of humor, and a playful spirit. He was known for lovingly “aggravating” his family, especially the children, nieces, and nephews who adored him as Uncle Naim. A successful businessman, He owned and operated Speedy Release Bail Bonds during the 1990s and 2000s. At the age of 12 (1973), he became a registered member of the Nation of Islam, where his leadership and dedication led him to become a Captain over the men of the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I.). He passionately dedicated himself to the salvation and upliftment of Black people and humanity as a whole. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Urban Defense Gun Club, Inc. of Jackson, TN, where he served as Vice President. He maintained a deep connection with his family, including his beloved cousins, many of whom grew up with him as brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Tariq Madyun, and his daughter, Nazirah. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Evie Madyun; his mother, Rasheedah Madyun; his daughter, Naima Madyun; his sons, Rashad Madyun and DeMarkus Madyun; his grandson, Nehemiah “King”; his granddaughters, Raniyah, Troice, and Kenzlie; his brother, Shawki Madyun; his five sisters, Margaret (Jerome) Banks, Deborah Jordan, Nafeesah (Waymond) Madyun-Moore, Attallah (John) Best-Muhammad, and Chianna Madyun; his aunts, Josephine Jones and Maxine Earl; along with his beloved cousins, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his leadership, faith, humor, loyalty, and unmistakable personality. His laughter, teasing, presence, and love will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Naim. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and forever be Uncle Naim.
