Ms. Margaret Yvette "Maudie" Trice

Margaret Yvette Trice, age 71, was known to many as Maudie, was born June 22, 1954 to the late Troy and Evon Thomas in Lexington, TN. She was one of eleven children. She went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2025. She transitioned into heaven peacefully with her two daughters by her side. She attended Montgomery School for education. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church. She started working at an early age doing various jobs mostly factory work until she retired. She enjoyed planting flowers in the yard, with roses being her favorite, cooking for family especially at Thanksgiving, her dressing was the best. She enjoyed going to yard sales, that was her favorite thing to do early Saturdays. She loved being around her family especially playing with her grandchildren and watching them grow and later watching her great grandchildren growing up as well. She was so proud of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s achievements. She loved to watch them play sports and perform in plays. She will be missed by so many and the memories she made with family and friends will never be forgotten. She loved her family but most importantly she loved God. She was a God fearing woman who believed in the power of prayer and prayed daily. She was married to the late William “Boy” Trice. They were together for forty-eight years until his passing in 2020. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Craft and Sarah Quince. Four brothers, Larry Thomas, Charles Thomas, RC Thomas and Blondell Thomas. Mrs. Trice leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Willette Thomas and Lakresha Trice. Five grandchildren Tanisha Thomas (Terrance), Christopher Thomas (Jessica), Rodney Thomas, LaTosha Thomas (Jarris) and Whitney Thomas. Eleven great grandchildren, Antaveon Swift, Christian Swift, Izaiah Armstrong, Genesis Forbes, CJ Thomas, Armani Thomas, Jaeston Thomas, Amiyah Thomas, MiAngel Sims, Keagan Thomas and Nolyn Jones all from Henderson, TN. Four sisters, Pricsilla Bailey, Patricia Hollingsworth (Harry), Maxine Priddy, Katherine Corbitt and a host of extended family. A special honorable mention to Exie Smith, Matilda Massengill, Lynn Woods and Darlene Jones, you ladies held a special place in her heart, please continue to cherish her memories.
