Ms. Lillie Katherine Morgan Hines

Ms. Lillie Katherine Morgan Hines was the seventh child born to the late James "Jim" Henry Morgan and Dora Bell Morgan of Jackson, TN on April 23, 1950. She departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She received her education in the Madison County School System, where she was a 1968 graduate of East High School. After graduating she enlisted in the Women Army Corp. Active Duty and received a 91B10 MOS at Fort Sam Houston, Texas as a Medical Specialist ( Medical Assistant ) In the Army Reserve she received a 91C10 MOS as a Clinical Specialist ( Licensed Practical Nurse ) and continue in the Amry Reserves the total military Duty of 13 years. She was caring and compassionate with her patients and received letters of accommodation and appreciation for the way she cared for her patients. She received The Army Achievement Medal. Ms. Hines attend West Tn. Business College where she recieved an accounting certification, she attended Jackson State Community College, Pazazz Cosmetologist School received her Cosmetologist Licensee. Ms. Hines was employed with Home Health Care Inc. as Purchasing Agent/Certified Nurses' Assistant for over 20 years. She was reared in a very religious home where her Mother and Father taught her to give all reverence and honor to God. On September 22, 1991 she was baptized and the Lord added her to his Church, East Jackson Church of Christ. She remained an actively faithful member she had a passion for singing and you could her voice through out the church she enjoyed singing very much, she sang with the East Jackson Acappell Chorus, she participated as song leader in many of the Ladies Day programs and she was director of the Ladies Day singing group for some years. Ms. Hines loved teaching bible classes and Home Bible Studies and leading soul to Christ. She served in many capacities, a Bible school teacher, The New Convert Class, Laborers for Christ, VIP Greeter, Visitation Committee, Food Committee, Food Pantry, Bus Driver for the Ladies Day program at the other congregations and she would help where ever she was needed. She was a long time member of the supporters of Southwestern Christian College where she served over the food committee and cooked the fish for the fish fries for many years. She was faithful until her health begin to failed her. She had two sisters that preceded her in death, Ivery Nell Yarabrough, Wille Kate Turner, one brother preceded her in death Jimmy Lee Morgan, two sister-in-laws Lizzie Mae Morgan, Catherine Morgan. Four brother-in-laws Ben Hawk, Henry Marshall and Roy Lee Bradford. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons and one daugther-in-law: Donanthony Bernard Morgan and Bryant Durrell Duckworth,Sr. (Ericka), four grandchildren, Andrea Nashay Morgan, Anthony Devon Moragn, Eriell Angleique Duckworth and Bryant Durrell Duckworth, Jr., three sisters, Cora Bell Hawk, Rose Ella Walker (Howard), Mary Sue Brice, one brother: Freddie B. Morgan, three brothers-in-law, Jimmie Turner, Henry Frank Yarbrough and Howard Walker a very special friend, sister and caregiver, Nettie Houston, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
