Mr. Jessie Lee Glenn

Jessie Lee Glenn, the beloved son of the late Annie May and Robert Smith, was born on May 4, 1931, in Chicago, IL. He peacefully departed this life in the early morning hours of August 14, 2026, at his home in Jackson, Tennessee. He professed his faith in Christ at a young age and became a devoted and active member of Berean Baptist Church, where he remained faithful until his passing. He proudly served his country as a medic in the United States Army participating in the Korean War. Following his military service, he continued to navigate through life, eventually dedicating his life as a machinist at McCowat-Mercer until he retired. He served as a treasurer, public housing board member, volunteer with various organizations, and was a committed community activist. He was a man who believed in helping others and took great pride in being there for those in need. His warm personality, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. His favorite hobbies included historical events and studies, traveling, cooking, reading, puzzles, singing, and, most importantly, laughing. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his two sons, Travis Glenn, Orlando Glenn and Micheal Cole, of Jackson, Tennessee; and his grandchildren: Tanisha Jones, LaChresa Glenn (Chayce and Caidyn Nelson), Jessica Byrd (Kaliyah & Jahki Byrd), Travis Musgrave (NaKailyn Cockrell), Ocean Musgrave (Kolby Mosley) Orlandis “Raquan” Glenn and Orlando Sullivan, Mallory Cole (Journee and Jaida Ingram) and Destiny Cole all of Jackson, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his loving and caring wife, Carrie Mae Cole: four children Zalious, and Undra Savage, Shelia JoAnn, Velma “Judy” Cole (MarQuinta Cole), several siblings Celester Glenn-Warlick of Cleveland, Ohio Willie T. Glenn, James E. Glenn, Cecil Glenn and Congress Glenn-Hunt all of Humboldt, TN; Special friend Linda Carter and several family and friends. Jessie Lee Glenn leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, love, laughter, and compassion. His life was a testament to the importance of serving God, serving his country, and serving others. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the lives he touched will continue to live on through his family, friends, and community.
