Mr. Eugene Boykin

Eugene “Uncle” Boykin born to the late Lily Thomas Boykin and Thomas Boykin on February 2, 1943. He was born to a family of three brothers and three sisters. He worked in the cotton fields when he was a child. He believed in God and always told his family and friends to pray an ask God to help because man cannot do anything only God can. He loved going to church and calling the mighty name of Jesus when he was in pain or to in need of help and strength. He lived a happy life and his favorite song was “God I Did It & I’m Coming Home Lord All by Myself.” He was also a member of Bread of Life Church in Jackson, TN. He would remind you that church is within you, and not just a building is within you. He attended Gibson County High School. He was a hard-honest working man. He retired from Bruce Lumber Company in 1993 and he also worked for Wicks Lumber Company. Praise him everywhere you go because he is the sweetest person I know outside of his sweet and kindhearted nieces: Sandy Alwajih and Brenda (Charlie) Jones and their grandchildren gave him the best treatment that anyone can ask for. They always kept a smile on his face, call on the almighty God anytime because he can do all things but fail. Don’t take your problems in your own hands because you’re going to make a mess of it. Take it to the almighty God and let him fix it and when you go to him in prayer and tell him all about your problems and let him work it out and will take care of his own. He always has a way for him when I can not see my way through the almighty God worked it out for me what he does for others he sure will do it for you family stay strong and always keep the faith all you have to do is to keep a repented heart and always ask God to forgive you of your sins. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Perline Starks and second wife Debbie Boykin; brother: Charles G. Boykin; sisters Berdie Mae Rice, Annie Mae Cooper and Gerdaine Jones. He leaves behind a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind grandchildren and step-grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.
