Mr. Curtis Harden Jr.

Curtis Harden Jr. was born on June 21,1956, in Haywood County Tennessee, to the late parents of Curtis Harden Sr. and Millard Bass Harden. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and united with the London Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He was an active member of New Jerusalem Ministries, both churches where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed prayer, bible study, and Sunday service until his earthly life ended. He attended West High School, where he was part of “Class of 1976”. He enjoyed taking trips, class meetings, and being the life of the party (class clown). He has the T-shirts to show for it. Curtis was always a hard and dedicated worker. He joined the United States Army on September 21, 1976, as a Radio Teletype Operator. He flew to Germany and served overseas service from March 1977 to September 1979. Continuing his duties, he served in the National Guard. He was employed for Jackson Transit Authority for 21 years, where he later retired. Hollywood Drive was his favorite route, and he was everybody’s favorite bus driver; also driving for Jackson City Courts. He loved servicing his community. He united in Holy matrimony to Sandra Yvette Moore, on October 10, 1987, in Charlotte, NC. From their union two children were born, Chaze and Chad. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents: Curtis and Millard Harden; grandson: Dawntrae Williams; four brothers: Joe Brown, Marcus Harden, Eddie Harden, Wayne Harden; two sisters: Mary Harden and Faye Ingram; four grandparents: two sisters-in-law: Freddie and Pamela Harden; one brother-in-law:Jerry Ingram; father-in-law: Arthur J. Moore; mother-in-law: Andra Wiley; two special nieces: Tracey White and Shontelle Moore. He leaves to carry his legacy, his loving wife of 35 years and 5 months: Sandra Harden; four children: Curtis R. Harden of Nashville, Tennessee, Brannita Harden of Jackson, Tennessee, Chaze Harden of Jackson, Tennessee, and Chad Harden of Nashville, Tennessee; one bonus daughter-in-love: Jerronica (Rudy) Walker; his grandchildren: Keontis and Asia Transou, Curtavious Harden, Camora Harden ,and Chayten Gray; one bonus grandson: Javion Chapman (Jay); two brothers: Pastor Julius Harden of Medon, Tennessee, and Tommy (Erica) Harden of Jackson, Tennessee; one sister: Martha Chatman of Medon, Tennessee; three sisters-in-law: Teresa Harden of Jackson, Tennessee; Tangella Stephens of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Charlene Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina; one uncle and three aunts; two special nieces: Gwen Chatman and LaTisha Moore; a special cousin: Jesse Northern and Uncle: Zebedee Bass, both more like brothers; a special cousin: Ashley Bass more like a niece, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
