Mr. Adolphus Corion "Corey" Bray

Adolphus Corion Bray but affectionately called him “Corey” was born December 19, 1989. He peacefully transitioned this earthly home on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. His name was given to him by Angela and John Jeffery, Jackson, Tn He confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized at East Jackson Church of Christ. He was nominated Youth of the Month, February 21st, 1999 in recognition for his Excellence Example of Christian Character . He was our gentle Teddy Bear, loving son, brother and Uncle, best cousin, friend and coworker. He never met a stranger as people would say about him and the true example of “may the work I’ve done, speak for me”, Corey will be truly missed by all who knew him. He received his education in the Jackson Madison County School System, where he was a 2009 graduate of Southside High School, majoring in Journalism. He also attended Jackson State to further that passion he had for Broadcasting. He was employed during the summer in his teens at TR White and RGIS until complications with his health, but he still enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing video games with his brother, nephew and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grand father, Ramon Wilson and Great Aunts Della Hogan, Elizabeth Brown and Mary Clark. He left behind many to cherish his memories his mother, Audrey Bray and step-father, David Fuller, brother, A’kyron Bray, sisters, Amyi’ & Aquinyel Bray, Aladrien Brady, Cherise Jenkins, Keanna & Tempest Lockett, JaQuilla & Labresee Jeter, nephews Mason Love and Skyler Watkins, nieces, Bailee Bray and Jamiah Montgomery, a nurturing God believing, Grandmother, Rosie Trice, Uncles, Kemble (Gabrielle) Bray, and Dr. Arthur (Sherry) Bray, Aunts, Janie Bray and Qwendlyn O’Neal of Jackson, TN . Cousins…Marquez, Cavoshia, Shemica Thaxter, Khairo Bray, Camden Webb, Darius, Julius & Marcellus Bray, Chansler Yarbrough, Brandee Love, Brittnee and Brecaria Weatherspoon. Special Mothers Valerie Dodson, Patty Davis and Yvette Thomas…a very close bound with cousins Tonerius Cockrell, Marquaves Parham, Eric Burdine and Jatasia Fuller-Corbitt, a very close special Friends Erin, Alicia, Evelyn and Scottie Young and numerous other close friends and Classmates. Special great Aunts and Uncles, Jerry & Julie Truelove, Wanda Brooks, Katy Watson, Louvenia Walker and a host of other Great Aunts/Uncles, Special Grandmothers, and friends who’s Love for Corey is greatly appreciated.
